Doll MIniature Maurice Sendak

Maurice Bernard Sendak ,1928 -2012, was an American author and illustrator of children's literature. He was most famous for his book Where the Wild Things Are, first published in the year of 1963.

I created this little miniature out of wood, wire, clay, and paint, Mr. Sendak wears navy slacks with blue shirt and mauve sweater. His face is painted by hand, I added real fiber hair and tiny black wire glasses, and he holds a tiny replica of his famous work.

Created out of wood, wire, clay, and paint

Character is 4 1/2 inches tall, (11.4 cm)
