Black Russian Kahlua Ruso Negro Decanter

Fabulous mod bottle either designed or inspired by California modernist La Gardo Tackett in the 1950s for kahlua. Bottle measures almost 11" high and is in excellent vintage condition, with no chips or cracks, though there are minor surface marks and some very faint crazing here and there. It still features many of the original labels, including the $3.30 price tag.

We have seen this model attributed to La Gardo Tackett, though we have not been able to confirm that it was in fact, a version designed by Tackett. It differs from some of the confirmed Tackett Black Russian Decanters we've seen in that (1) it has writing on the front below the beard and (2) it has a raised textured hat, beard and mustache (as opposed to the Tackett decanters which are smooth).

Either way, it is a fabulous piece of mid century modern pottery and we've priced this to reflect the uncertainty of origin.
