This set of talismans uses pentacles transcribed from the Clavicula Salomonis or “The Key of Solomon the King,” A medieval mystical text translated by S. L. MacGregor Mathers in 1888. One of histories most famous and influential of Grimoires, Mathers describes the tome as “The fountain-head and storehouse of Qabalistical Magic, and the origin of much of the Ceremonial Magic of mediaeval times.”*

These ornate pentacles are have been transcribed with care given to the tenderest detail. They are set beneath an 18mm cabochon lens, which magnifies them beautifully so their details can still be read by the naked eye.

The Fouth and Fifth pentacles of Venus detail a love spell of an erotic nature. Handle with care! The Fourth Pentacle of Venus is a talisman of attraction and desire. Surrounding the names of various spirits of Venus is a versicle from Genesis ii. 23, 24:--'This is bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. And they two were one flesh.' and the Fifth Pentacle of venus is of similar effect. The surrounding versicle is from Psalm xxii. 14:--'My heart is like wax, it is melted in the midst of my bowels.' Oh my!

Measures 18mm in diameter. Chains are purchased separately and can be found in our Chains shop section.
