Ready to ship. This is an unique piece from my Africa Wildlife Series.
This is a beautiful felted sculpture of an Impala (Aepyceros melampus)
The figurine is 25cm tall till his head top (without antlers)

" Impala is a medium-sized antelope found in eastern and southern Africa. The only extant member of the genus Aepyceros and tribe Aepycerotini, it was first described to European audiences by German zoologist Hinrich Lichtenstein in 1812. Two subspecies are recognised—the common impala, and the larger and darker black-faced impala. The impala reaches 70–92 cm (28–36 in) at the shoulder and weighs 40–76 kg (88–168 lb). It features a glossy, reddish brown coat. The male's slender, lyre-shaped horns are 45–92 cm (18–36 in) long." (Wiki)

Thank you so much. This is not plastic at all!!. This is Velvet Clay, and I've completely carved and painted it myself. Velvet clay is a nice material to make antlers, beaks and hooves and this is how I've made it for years, since it is an air dry clay, and the most important: it is so soft and light, ideal for needle felted pieces. Also it is flexible so it wont break at all if the piece falls down. Thank you so much.

So amazing! This horse is extraordinary. The lovely, unusual coloring is perfectly rendered, and this is the most realistic needle felted horse I've ever seen. Hooves and fetlocks are beautifully defined. And it isn't just the anatomy and coloring that are perfect....this horse has such spirit and movement!
