Medieval Garden Original Oil Painting

“Medieval Garden” is an original 18 x 24” oil painting on stretched canvas. It has been protected with a gloss varnish. A certificate of authenticity (COA) will accompany the painting.

Browsing online I ran across photos of the Garden of Ninfa in central Italy, with its medieval ruins, wisteria, roses, watercourses, and rich greenery. Ninfa has been called “the most romantic garden in the world.” However, with my painting I took some artistic license instead of creating a photorealism painting. I do feel I captured the romance of this beautiful garden.

I am a representational impressionist painter. I primarily enjoy painting landscapes and often use bold, bright colors. I enjoy beginning with a recognizable subject and then embellish it as I would enjoy seeing it. Subjects often do not need this enhancement, but I may remove distracting objects, change colors, or add a stronger light source. I strive for feelings of peacefulness. When I paint a landscape or cityscape, I would like for people to imagine themselves in the painting, or to just sit back and enjoy it.

The painting will be carefully packaged, insured, and shipped. If it is damaged in transit, please return in original packaging for insurance purposes, and I will provide a full refund. Hand delivery is possible within 60 miles of my home.
