The plant features trailing vines with glossy, dark green leaves, and its tubular flowers, which bloom in bright orange or yellow, resemble little goldfish swimming in the air, giving it its playful name. NOTE: This listing is for cuttings of this plant, no roots. We do not guarantee your personal success in rooting these successfully as we have no ability or say with how it will be cared for (lighting, medium choice, watering habits, airflow, etc…) and cannot be responsible for issues that arise from situations we have no control over including our hardiness zone and care recommendations. You will find our rooting instructions below and recommendations for care and hardiness zones.

WEATHER NOTE: Because we ship from Ohio we will not guarantee how your items will arrive if you do not add a heat pack to your order when temperatures are below 40° in the shipping state and surrounding areas. Be mindful of transit times and we recommend upgrading your shipping if you reside on the West Coast.

Care Instructions for Goldfish Plant:
1. Watering: Keep the soil lightly moist, watering when the top inch feels dry. Avoid overwatering, as this can cause root rot. Make sure the plant’s container has proper drainage.
2. Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate some light shade. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
3. Soil: Use well-draining potting soil, ideally a mix for tropical plants. Ensure good drainage to prevent water from sitting around the roots.
4. Temperature: Thrives in temperatures between 65°F and 75°F (18°C - 24°C). It’s not frost-tolerant, so it should be kept in temperatures above 50°F (10°C).
5. Humidity: Enjoys moderate to high humidity, so consider placing it in a more humid environment or misting the leaves occasionally. A humidity tray or humidifier can also help.
6. Fertilizing: Feed with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding during the fall and winter months.
7. Pruning: To maintain its shape and encourage new growth, regularly trim back any dead or leggy stems.

Hardiness Zones: Goldfish Plants are best suited for USDA hardiness zones 10-11 but are commonly grown as indoor plants in cooler climates.

This one didn't fare too well in the shipping process... all but two tiny leaves fell off so I have two sticks. I'm hoping they come back. We'll see....no ones fault. Will definitely buy from this shop again!!!

The goldfish cuttings looked great when they arrived. They were long selections and there were a lot of them. Unfortunately after 6 weeks of water propagating, not one of them had roots. There wasn’t any rot - just no roots. I reached out and they recommended to trim them to another node and try again, possibly in a different medium. I trimmed them and put half in water and half in moss/perlite. 6 weeks later and none of them have roots. It’s always a risk when ordering cuttings but I’ve done a lot of propagating and I’ve never had 8/8 cuttings fail. Other plants I’ve ordered from this company were great so I’ll definitely try again. Just not with goldfish cuttings.
