Here is an original vintage sewing pattern for an elegant dress with a wide bateau neckline, 3/4 length dolman sleeves, gathered cummerbund waist, and choice of slim or full skirt.

The pattern consists of 10 printed pieces, but it is missing one easy-to-replicate piece: #3, the bodice back and sleeve, which is an identical mirror version of piece #6, the bodice front and sleeve. All of the pieces are neatly folded and in excellent condition along with the illustrated instruction guide. The envelope is clean and still in one piece even though it has several tears.

the description on the back reads:

Butterick 9170
size 12

32 bust, 25 waist, 34 hip, finished back length of skirt is 27 3/4" with 3" hem

Jr. Misses' & Misses' Dress: 2 Skirts
The widening neckline and dolman sleeves highlight this charming party dress. For a tiny waist...the cummerbund midriff. (A) Swirly skirt. (B) Slim-line Skirt.

Suggested fabrics: Silky cottons, silk crepes, soft failles, sheers (soft), jerseys, soft sheer wools.
