Description

Here is Dale Earnhardt, considered to be one of the best NASCAR drivers of all time. Earnhardt won a total of 76 races over the course of his career, including one Daytona 500 victory in 1998. He earned seven championships, which is tied for the most all time with Richard Petty. His aggressive driving style earned him the nickname "The Intimidator".

While driving in the 2001 Daytona 500, Earnhardt died of basilar skull fracture in a last-lap crash at Daytona International Speedway on February 18, 2001. He has been inducted into numerous halls of fame, including the inaugural class of the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

This is one of the few pastel sports portraits I have painted. The original was done for a die hard Dale Earnhardt fan after his unexpected life ending accident at the Daytona 500 in 2001. Enjoy, and thank you for visiting my web page.

* Printed on long-lasting Fredrix Archival Print Canvas. Fredrix is made from a blend of polyester and cotton and is coated with two primings of acid-free acrylic titanium gesso to provide long term archival quality. A clear top coat is also applied for greater ink adhesion and to deliver a better, more color intense reproduction. Because of its unique natural woven texture, Fredrix canvas offers a special and distinctive look that can only be captured on canvas. Professional printers confirm that a print on canvas may have a value of 3 to 5 times greater than a print on paper. Plus, your canvas print does not need matting or glass thereby enhancing the appearance of your print, eliminating glare and reducing your overall cost.

* The print measures 8x10 inches.

* The online image is low-resolution, but the reproduction will be sharp and vibrant when you receive it. The actual colors and those veiwed on the screen may vary.

* Print is protected in a cellophane sleeve with a backer and shipped in a stay-flat, heavy duty, cardboard envelope mailer so it arrives in perfect condition!
