Do you offer ring resizing?

Yes! Please message us and tell us which ring you are interested in, and what size you need it to be (this is important, if you don't tell us your size we can't provide a quote), and we'll get back to you with a no obligation quote. Our ring sizing is in house, with no third parties involved, which means the process is very quick (if we have to order in special metals it can take a little longer). When you message us - you are speaking directly to the goldsmith who will be undertaking the work, so he will offer advice on anything you may have questions about.

Do you offer reservations, layaway, or payment plans?

I'm afraid these are not things that we offer at this moment in time. However, we do accept purchases via Klarna or Paypal credit in our Etsy shop.

Do you accept returns?

Yes. • We must be informed of the intent to return within 3 days of the item arriving, the item must be shipped back within 7 days of it arriving • Returned items must be in original unaltered condition, must have all original packaging, and be sent back with full insurance. • Original shipping costs are non-refundable (postage costs will be deducted from any free delivery orders) • For returns outside of the UK, a 10% restocking fee is charged. • In instances where a client declines to pay an import charge, the restocking fee is 20% NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS: Pierced earrings cannot be returned under UK hygeine legislation. Customised items (including resized rings) Sale/clearance items, are considered a final sale and non-returnable.

How do you test gemstones?

All of the pieces we sell have had their gemstone content tested with a Presidium Gemstone Tester. The Presidum Gemstone Tester tells us what a gemstone is, but not how it was grown. Gemstones can be grown in nature or in a laboratory. Lab created gemstones are real, and have the exact chemical composition as naturally occurring gemstones. Natural gemstones tends to have small inclusions and natural 'flaws', where as lab grown gemstone are typically flawless. Please assume gemstones potentially have been treated or lab grown unless the listing specifically notes otherwise - we will note if we believe the stone to be natural.

Do you offer a guarantee?

All gemstones and precious metals are tested and verified by us, we guarantee that our items are as exactly as described. All the pieces we sell are pre-owned, vintage and antique - we do not manufacture these items ourselves and therefore do not offer a guarantee related to wear. We ask that you inspect your item carefully when it arrives, to be sure that you are happy with it before wearing. If you are unhappy, you are welcome to return the piece to us by following the details in our Returns Policy section. We inspect every piece in detail, and mention any visible defects we find within our listings. We check all stones are secure.

How do I care for Vintage & Antique Jewellery? Part 1

Vintage and Antique jewellery has stood the test of time, but can be unpredictable. Sometimes pieces may have been sitting unworn in a collection for years, and you will be the first person to wear the piece in its recent life. At times your jewellery may need repair or servicing. This includes, but is not limited to, common defects in old jewelry such as, broken links in a necklace, broken clasps, and lost stones. We recommend regular check ups with your local jeweler to always ensure that stones are secure. When you purchase vintage or antique jewelry, keep in mind that repairs and replacements can be part of the journey in ownership. We highlight the importance of treating your vintage and antique jewellery with care.

How do I care for Vintage & Antique Jewellery? Part 2

Be careful not to bump your rings on furniture, as this may dislodge stones. Be aware of the gemstones you choose, and how durable they are, soft stones (such as opals) are not recommended for daily wear. Remember to remove your jewellery before washing, taking particular care with antique rings which have stones set with glue (and any with foil backs) - submerging in warm water can cause the glue to loosen and the stone to fall out. Avoid exposing your jewellery to extreme hot or cold temperatures, as this can cause stones to crack. Avoid storing your jewellery in direct sunlight, as this can cause stones colour to fade. Avoid harshly cleaning your jewellery and try not to use modern ultrasonic machines.

About Vintage and Antique jewellery

Vintage means older than 20 years old, and antique means over 100 years old. Vintage and antique items have been pre-owned, which means that most items do have slight signs of age related wear. We believe this adds great character to our pieces and we promise to fully describe all main points of wear in the description. Please expect general light wear associated with age on all items. Treat your jewellery as you would treat a dearly loved elderly friend, with respect, kindness and gentle manner.

Can I cancel my order?

No, not usually. It is the buyers responsibility to read each listing in entirety before purchasing. We package and ship our items very quickly. For this reason, we cannot usually accept order cancellations as we would require notice of cancellation prior to the item being shipped. If you do contact us to cancel an order before it has been shipped, we will cancel the order for you as per your request and 10% of the item cost will be charged and retained from your payment as our re-stocking fee to cover our incurred costs. A gorgeous pair of vintage Art Deco earrings, full of glamour and sparkle. Made in a silver-tone metal, these earrings are fitted with screw-back clasps, making them suitable for both pierced and non-pierced ears.

Each earring features a beautifully arranged cluster of old-cut paste glass stones, set in a fan-like formation that catches the light from every angle. The stones have a lively brilliance and depth, giving the earrings wonderful presence without feeling heavy.

Elegant and eye-catching, they have unmistakable “Great Gatsby” Art Deco charm, perfect for adding vintage glamour to an evening outfit or special occasion. A striking and wearable pair that will look simply stunning on the ear and make a fabulous addition to any vintage jewellery collection.

Together the earrings weigh 4.9 grams. The face of each arring measures 15 x 16 mms. Both earrings have a fully working screw close. The glass stones have foiled backs. The foil behind the larger stones has deteriorated and discoloured a little bit in places, particularly on one earring - this gives it a slightly pale yellow look, though doesn't detract when the earrings are worn - very hard to notice with an earring on each ear.

In good vintage condition, with minimal light tarnish and faint surface scratches as to be expected from a used vintage item. There are a couple of claws missing on the smaller stones, but the stones have been checked and are secure. Please see the photos.

This item, along with the others in our Dear Rose, With Love shop, has been hand selected by us, for you. We sell only estate, vintage, and antique items - which means we only ever have one of each piece. The pieces of jewellery offered by us are old treasures, and we rarely find two identical. Once each piece has gone, it's truly gone, and you will likely never find another!
