"I'll get the money--somehow!" Jamie cries. "Only please, mister, don't sell Silver Streak!"

Jamie is desperate. If he doesn't find the money soon, the beautiful greyhound will be sold to a cruel new master.

Then Hilliard, the toughest boy in his school, offers Jamie the money. Jamie accepts--even though he knows he can never pay it back.

Now Hilliard is demanding payment. Jamie is in serious trouble. If he doesn't return the money, he'll have to work for Hilliard. And Hilliard and his gang are criminals!
