If your design/invitation includes a picture you need to email me the FULL RESOLUTION photo—no cell-phone “selfies” please! I realize that some phones, like iPhone’s and Androids have some amazing cameras now, and I will need to see them first to know if they will work. But I highly recommend taking a good ol’ fashioned camera and snapping a high quality photo and then you can e-mail it to me at nimbiportland [!at]

Within 3-5 days I will send a proof to your email address (the one you have on file with etsy, if you'd like it sent to a different address please list that in the "Notes to Seller" box as well.) If we need to make any further changes we can go from there until its just the way you want it! This is crucial! PLEASE…PLEASE check, double check and even triple check the spelling on your invitations. Make sure the dates, times, locations, names and addresses are all spelled correctly and that everything is with the correct date and time! Nimbi will NOT be held responsible for errors after printing that was pre-approved by the client. I do my best to catch errors, but I need you to be that final YES!

I'll send you the full resolution file and you can print as many copies as you want right at home! I recommend printing on 100# card stock.

**Colors may appear different depending on the resolution of your computer and where you print at**

Am I able to pick and choose items in the suite?

I can add in extra pieces that you need, take away the ones you don't and change the shape. Need some ideas? Check out the samples of custom designs on The price of the suite does not change, if you choose to only use one file, you are still paying the full price listed.

I can also create coordinating pieces. Use your invitation and additional pieces to set the tone for your big day and create consistency. Not all sets in the shop have coordinating pieces yet, so just one more way to add to them to make them your own!

Can I get coordinating menus, programs and table numbers?

Of course! Even though I may not have something shown in my shop or on my website, doesn’t mean I can’t necessarily make it. I love creating the cousins to an invitation suite. So please don’t hesitate to ask, and I can give you a quote for these based on the detail and amount of time it will take me to create the file.

I don’t see anything that matches my event theme; can I get a custom design?

Yes! Yes! YES! I love doing custom work. Being creative and working with my clients to come up with a perfect design for their event is the best! Invitations are the first piece your guests see before your big day, so you want to make it count and memorable! Custom Designs start at $1000 for quantities of 120 and higher (printing done through Nimbi). If you have a smaller event, please contact me to figure out pricing for the scope of work needed. For new custom designs please visit and contact me via my web site:

Why can it take 72 hours to hear back from you?

Lets be honest, I got a lot on my plate. I do the best I can to respond sooner, but sometimes things get in the way and I just get extremely busy. I typically try to spend an hour or so in the evening online, checking my e-mail, Etsy conversations and Facebook messages and try to respond to everyone with the answers to their questions, quotes and more. But I also have to work on orders, do calligraphy, my full-time job during the day and take care of my baby. Plus, I can’t ignore my other half. So I do the best I can, which I think is pretty darn good considering. I’ve also hired interns to help with the workload, and its definitely helping. But, if this timing doesn’t work for you and you need cat-reflex like responses from me, I may possibly not be the best option for you. I do apologize and appreciate your understanding.

Can I get a detailed laser cut but smaller, say 3”?

Possibly. Detailed can vary. You have to think about the design you want. Realize that something like my “Married in Oregon” cake topper can’t be smaller than about 4.5” to 5”. There is so much detail, and its extremely fragile. Plus if you choose to have anything that detailed made out of acrylic verses wood, it will melt. The closer the laser gets to a recently cut piece of acrylic, the more of the plastic you’ll loose and the hotter it gets which melts it and can break it right in the middle of making it. So if you want smaller pieces with detail, etched is your best option, however it can be more expensive and doesn’t work as good on acrylic vs. wood. If you have questions or are unsure about something, just e-mail me and we can talk about what you want a figure something out.

What type of materials can I get cut?

Wood, acrylic and PAPER! Yes, paper too! I’ve done several laser cut invitations. This can vary on cost as well, depending on the detail of the cut. Message me with your questions and I can give you a quote. The base price is about $10/inch (based on the largest measurable length) for anything above 4”, and $4/inch for anything less than 3”. This is an estimate, so contact me for exact pricing.

What is the largest single piece of laser cutting I can get?

The largest I can have cut is a 12” x 18” piece. So if you want something bigger, there may be ways to still create it with separate pieces that get attached together after cutting with gorilla glue, or adhered to a backing material. I’ve done pieces that were over 3 feet wide, but they were assembled in pieces and the client adhered her logo to a giant piece of acrylic for a sign. It worked beautifully.

Can you design a logo for my business?

Sure can! I love working on logos. Logo’s start at $250 and I am even willing to do trade for logo work. Just visit my web site: and contact me there!

What type of design can I get?

I have done pretty much everything. In my full-time job I design user experiences for Apps on iPhones and Android devices. I have worked as a graphic designer for Walt Disney; I’ve done magazine layout for several publications, including intern work back in the day for Portland Monthly Magazine. I will even help with design for your website, and the user experience/flow of your website, however, I do not CODE. But I know several people who do. So let me know what you’re looking for and we can chat. I charge an hourly graphic design rate of $80/hour. Projects can take 4-10 weeks (sometimes longer) depending on the scope of work.

A budget is really important when you plan a wedding, so if you love an invitation, but it's more than you can spend let us know. Tell us what your budget is, what is on your 'must have' list and we will do our best to rework any design to fit what you want. There are some limitations but we promise to do our very best!

We have found that a lot of our brides + grooms are crafty enough for a little DIY work, but are intimidated by the process of designing a full invitation. We can help! Perhaps the easiest way to save a bit on our invitations is to purchase them as a DIY PDF. You are restricted to the designs in the shop and no major changes besides color and wording can be made, unless you pay for custom changes. A PDF will be sent to you via Etsy conversation or your choice of communication, and you can print at home. If you would like to order paper and envelopes too that’s also an option that can save you some money.
