"Being Tricksey" is a 4x6 book with 200 blank, unlined pages. This can serve as a journal, a sketchbook, an album, or whatever other uses your mind may have for it.

The exterior and partial interior of this book are covered with remnants of a gypsy-ish skirt I used to wear and love. The edges are purposefully frayed to give a tattered appeal. A window has been cut out of the book cover to reveal an image of a faerie on the interior panel. This funny little faerie was carefully exactoed out of Brian Froud's book, "Good Fairies, Bad Fairies". By the look of her, she is a good fairie being bad. The spine of this book is covered with multi-colored mosaic tile.

The journal also features a loose-lock, which is not only decorative but will keep the book closed. It is not designed to keep snoopers out. That is what your pea-shooter is for (not to be confused with pee-shooter, which I never recommend using as a weapon of defense).

At the bottom you are noticing a small matchbook drawer. This can be used as a hope chest, or secret compartment for any of your small unmentionables. As an added feature it can also be used as - wait for it - a mini-journal. It is fastened to the main book by Velcro and can easily be removed to carry with you in your purse or pocket. I have filled it with small, blank, removable pages in case one needs to scribble a thought, phone number, reminder, note of ransom...you get the idea. When the pages are removed the interior looks like a starry night.

Lastly, I have added a book mark made of colorful fiber with a coined charm attached.
