Purple moon: This one-of-a-kind witches' bells features a stunning chunky amethyst heart pendant, apatite, agate, ocean jasper, clear quartz, and an enamel moon charm with a gold plated back.

Each of my one-of-a-kind charms takes around one week in planning and approximately seven hours in construction. The total length of this charm (from the top of the lobster clasp to the bottom of the lowest hanging charm) is approximately 19cm. At the top of the charm is a 3.5cm swivel lobster clasp which opens to a maximum of 0.5cm. I have also added a nylon cord that is useful for hanging the charm over door handles and the suchlike. I have applied a vegan friendly fabric adhesive to the knot in this cord to provide extra hold.

The symbolism explained:

Triquetra: A symbol with three interlocked loops, with no beginning and no end. Sometimes, as in this case, a circle around the three loops is added to signify unity. It is widely connected to protection, unity, and interconnectedness.

Bells: In Wiccan folklore the ring of a bell is believed to evoke good energy and clear thoughts. For this reason, the bell has long been believed to repel evil spirits and “witches' bells” would be hung upon doors and other entry ways to protect the home. The reason there are three bells either side is to acknowledge the “Rule of Three"; a cautionary tenet that encapsulates the ethical underpinnings of Wicca, stating that what you do in life, whether positive or negative, will come back to you times three.

Key: Keys are considered symbols of good luck in folklore across the world, but in Wiccan folklore they also symbolise the opening and closing of powers; in this case, the opening of good powers and the closing of bad ones.

Agate: A grounding stone as well as a spiritual stone, allowing for one to bring their spiritual experiences into their everyday reality. In Wiccan folklore it is also believed to increase the ability to ward off self-induced anger and inner bitterness.

Amethyst: A protective stone which is also thought to enhance intuition and spirituality, calm the mind and spirit, and ward off nightmares.

Clear quartz: Considered to be the most powerful of healing stones. It is also regarded as a stone of power used to amplify energy and intention. It is said to protect against negativity, bring clarity and aid connection to your higher self.

Crescent moon: The front of the moon is enamel and the back is gold plated. Gold is typically associated with wealth and luxury, but in Wiccan folklore it is also regarded as highly spiritual, being associated with ideas of love, wisdom and magic.

Apatite (cat’s eye): Apatite is believed to enhance spiritual awareness and positive energy. It is also thought to deepen meditation and aid communication and self-expression. The cat’s eye effect is caused by inclusions of fine, slender parallel mineral fibres in the stone that reflect light in a single band.

Ocean jasper: In Wiccan folklore ocean jasper is a positive stone that helps to relieve stress and anxiety, whilst also boosting self-confidence and contentment.
