Unique mid-century modern art pottery stoneware plate by renowned Marshall Studios potter, Gordon Martz.

Glazed in a Butternut or Harvest Gold body with incised Sepia line decoration. An interesting off-square form, it measures 5 1/2 wide at the top, 6 7/8" wide at the bottom, and is 7 3/8" tall.

The back is a medium-dark unglazed clay with a faint linen pattern, helping to date the piece to the late 1950's. It is incised with "Martz P-213" and has four little felt feet.

The plate is in good shape with no chips or cracks. There are a few tiny glaze pops.
