Sourdough Baking Log – Printable Recipe Tracker (Digital Download)

A sourdough log book is a valuable tool for any baker who wants to track their sourdough baking journey. Easily record all the details about your sourdough bread-making process, from mixing the dough to baking the finished loaf.

At the top of each page, write the date and any important notes about the weather, temperature, or other environmental factors that could impact your sourdough bread. Then, begin recording the steps you take to make your sourdough bread.

The sourdough journal should include details like the type of flour used, the hydration level of the dough, the amount of starter used, and the length of time the dough was fermented. You should also record any changes you make to the recipe or process, such as adjusting the oven temperature or experimenting with different shaping techniques.

When it's time to bake the bread, note the length of time the loaf was baked, the oven temperature, and any other relevant details. After the bread has cooled, record your impressions of the finished loaf, including the texture, flavor, and overall quality.

A sourdough tracker is not only a useful tool for tracking progress and making adjustments to recipes, but it also serves as a personal record of your baking journey. Over time, you can look back at your log book and see how your skills and techniques have improved.
