Description

This bird feeder really works and it looks beautiful hanging in your garden. The birds nibble all the way to the bottom of the feeder. Because it has two openings - they usually hop right through - they go in one side and out the other. Sometimes they just hang out inside for a few minutes. It's very fun to watch.

Features:

Bird Feeder with windows
Two Openings
Stainless Steel Cable
Natural Twig
Drainage Hole
Measues 2" x 2" x 8 1/2"
High Fired Porcelain
Metallic Bronze Glaze
Ready to ship.

The feeder hangs from a stainless steel cable that won't rust or break over time. It comes with a natural twig for the birds to perch on and has a drainage hole in the bottom. It is made from high fired porcelain and finished in a metallic bronze glaze. I recommend safflower seed for use with the feeder. It attracts a variety of small birds and the squirrels are completely disinterested in safflower seed so they leave the feeder alone.

Hand building offers endless possibilities for shapes and designs and allows me to create pieces that cannot be produced using my potter’s wheel. My most commonly used hand building process is slab construction. The clay is rolled out (like a giant pie shell) on a piece of canvas. It is then cut into the desired shape and draped either into a form or around a form. As the clay dries, it retains the shape of the form. Once a piece is completely dry, it is fired for the first time. This is called a bisque firing. The second and final firing is a glaze firing.

If you are purchasing a gift, please leave a note with your order and I will include a gift message from you.
