Elegant vintage mattress fabric (ticking) in brown with a floral motif. It is a European damask fabric manufactured around 1950 to make mattress covers. This fabric is unused. Very rare! A treasure of the last factories in the Mediterranean. It is made of cotton with a strong and dense weight. Strong textile perfect for upholstery projects. A set of bouquets of different flowers intertwine to form garlands. We see roses, bluebells, thrush, etc. The brown thread gives a shiny satin look.

CONDITION:
Unused. Excellent condition. Minor wear consistent with age and history. May have only extremely superficial marks consistent with age and history. Firm texture. This fabric is unwashed and has quite some sizing (starch). Selvages preserved intact.
