Very cool early 1800s of a sample of handwriting and artwork by Adam Nixon Langholm in 1802. This piece has his signature and date surrounded by a drawing. Above this is another signature William Scott Seerlau 1834 and to the right of that is 4 lines of numbers. The back of the paper shows pictures of 4 illustrations of different men. One is Vespasian Roman Emperor from AD 69 to AD 79, another is Titus Roman Emperor from AD 79 to AD 81. The third picture is E Josephus a first century Roman-Jewish Historian and friend of Vespasian's son Titus. The last picture is of Sir R. L'estrange....now I see why the artwork on the other side....this could be the earliest form of the "doodle" torn from a page of an old school book. I have no idea why this was saved other than it is a very cool piece of handwriting and artwork.
