Woven on an 8 harness loom. The warp (vertical threads) are made of peace silk, collected from the wild in India. The moths are allowed to emerge from the cocoon without being boiled, as is traditional practice in regular silk making.

The weft is handcombed, handspun angora rabbit's wool. It is the softest fiber I have ever worked with. It is silky, and cloud like. The white stripes are local organic wool, also handspun.

This piece hangs beautifully, and can be hung as a wall hanging, and used, as desired as a wearable art piece as well.

The entire piece took approximately 6 months to create (spinning and weaving), and is a culmination of global and local sustainable human\/nature relationships.

The piece is 55"long and 81\/2" wide. This does not include the 4" of fringe on each end.
With fringe the piece is 63" long.
