Description

Named "Hope", this 14 inch tall Art Doll made from vintage upholstery cloth, is inspired by the Four Elements - Earth, Air, Water and Fire, represented by the beaded spirals at her hands and feet. She is one of a kind (OOAK) and is meant to represent the idea that we must all come together to bring hope for our Earth and our future.

Hope has many colors of beads and ombre yarn spiralling all over her body, which is supported by an internal wire armature. She wears a paneled skirt made from vintage paisley wool and silk leaves, beaded with spirals and incorporating jade and glass beads. Her hand painted face shows her soft grey eyes and has a gentle expression. Her hair is made of mixed yarns embellished with hand made wavy edged paper beads.

Her charms are made of an assortment of beads, a silver hand with spiral motif, and a chrome medallion stamped with her name.

Set her on a mantle or table, or keep her by your workstation. You can use her as decoration or as a tool for meditation or visualization. She will draw you in and inspire conversations, deep thoughts and most of all dreams and aspirations.

NEW: includes a custom decorative stand.

For adult collectors only. NOT a child's toy. OOAK in a series. Spot clean if needed. Protect from direct sunlight to minimize fading.

I prefer Paypal, although I do accept cards per the Etsy policies. I require payment prior to shipping. CA residents will have 8.75% sales tax added to orders.

Returns & exchanges

I want you to love your doll. If you receive a doll and you don't like her after all, you may return her to me WITHIN 14 DAYS of receipt, in unused condition, at your expense. I will refund the doll's price via the payment method, less shipping. No-one has sent me back a doll yet.

The same policies apply to crocheted items and any of the other textile art items that appear in my store from time to time.

Exceptions:

Items ON SALE, are considered final sales.

Tags and Cards are sold AS-IS. Honestly it's just not worth the bank fees to do refunds on the inexpensive paper crafted items. (No-one has ever wanted to send back cards or tags either.)

Damages.....

In the event of a loss by the post office, or packages damaged in transit, we can work together to track down the package. If USPS tracks the item as delivered, I am going to consider it as received by the buyer. If USPS has lost it, I will refund the price or create a similar replacement doll (it won't be exactly the same because they are all one of a kind) or similar Card.

If the doll has been damaged in transit, you must make an official complaint to USPS, and I will do the same. I will refund or replace it, once you have shipped her back to me WITHIN 14 DAYS of delivery. Please photograph the damaged box as part of the complaint to USPS.

Shipping policies

In general I ship USPS Priority Mail and Priority Mail International. I ship cards and tags USPS First Class Mail. I ship purchases next business day. I don't usually do signature confirmation for regular dolls, because not everyone is home to receive packages. For Bead Head dolls (over $100) I insure.
International mailing is listed as "Merchandise". Any duties are the buyer's responsibility.

Additional policies

Special Policies for Commissions.....

If you contact me for a commission, we can discuss terms depending on the size of the project. In general I would need a 50% non-refundable* deposit up front, with balance due on completion prior to shipping.

*In the event that you change your mind about the order before I have made the piece I will refund your deposit. However if I have begun or finished the piece, I can either hold the doll for you if requested, or I will place the finished doll for sale. If I am able to recoup the full cost within ONE YEAR, I will then be happy to refund your deposit.

If you do not like the finished commission, an extremely unlikely event, you may return her to me in unused condition WITHIN 14 DAYS. I will refund 50% (not including shipping) and proceed as above, placing the doll for sale.

No-one has changed their mind about a commissioned doll yet.

Doll Hospital...

My dolls are not for play, but decorative use by adult collectors. Sometimes over time even carefully considered cloth dolls can get damaged. I will undertake repairs on older damaged dolls from my store for 20% of the original purchase price, plus shipping.

New clothes for your doll? That's a commission. Let's talk.
