How long does it take for the production of my sign?

The personalized (smooth surface) style signs we sell on Etsy typically require anywhere from 2-3 weeks production time after you approve your sign proof. Our larger more elaborate carved style signs or monument base signs may take up to 8 weeks. We do our best to accommodate customers with delivery time frames and deadlines, however you the customer must let us know when ordering if you do have a deadline you need your sign by.

Am I limited in the number of words and letters?

No you are not. However, the signs we offer on Etsy look best with 1-3 lines of text. But keep in mind the more wording on the sign…the smaller the font size will be.

Can I have my supplied artwork or logo colors matched?

If you are submitting your own logo and there are color(s) that you would like color matched, yes we can do that. Please let us know if you require a PANTONE color match while submitting your artwork to us. There is an additional charge of $39 to PMS color match per sign order. If no specific colors are mentioned we will use the colors on screen as you submitted the artwork to us. For best results on specific PMS colors, you can mail us a printed piece reflecting the color(s) you are trying to match, or give us the PMS color number only if you have an actual hard copy of the PMS color book. PMS color charts on any computer monitor are not accurate (all monitors show colors differently).

How do I upload my artwork?

You can send us your artwork/logo files through the ETSY portal or email us your artwork at: info@ezsignsonline.com

Will I receive a proof of my design to approve?

Yes, after your order is placed our graphic artist will design your sign and then email you a proof for your review/approval (within a few days of your order). Changes can be made to your initial proof/layout if needed. We want you to be happy with your sign layout before we build your sign.

How do I mount my sign when I get it?

The signs we sell on Etsy can be mounted by screwing them to a flat surface (wall, etc.) or by attaching hanging hardware and hanging your sign from a horizontal bracket or post above it. If you add any of our 2-post mounting systems, complete assembly instructions will be included. You can choose our mounting hardware/options when ordering your sign.

Will these signs crack, peel or rot like wood and what are they made of?

Our “smooth surface” signs are made using a computer cut high quality UV printed outdoor vinyl transfer applied to either a PVC or Alu-Panel signboard (see individual listings for specifics). This is then covered with a clear UV laminate vinyl to add further protection. These are rigid, strong and lightweight and handle all weather conditions very well. They will not rot, crack, splinter, warp or peel like painted wood does. We use the highest quality 8-year high performance vinyl (min. expected lifespan).

Do I need a local permit for my new sign?

Customers are responsible for acquiring all applicable local permits for their new sign. Please do this prior to ordering and approving your new sign order. Every local town, city, township, county, state has their own requirements. Do yourself a favor and call your local zoning office prior to ordering a new sign. We'd be happy to answer any questions and supply you with a free sign proof with dimensions on it if required for a permit, just let us know what you need.
