Damn it feels good to be a gangster 8x10 completed cross stitch, unframed

---The Story---

This cross stitch uses the brilliant pattern by granniepanties, found here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/93277060/pattern-only-damn-it-feels-good-to-be-a

If you'd like me to send you a kit, in official collaboration with granniepanties, here's where you can get that: https://www.etsy.com/listing/168499785/cross-stitch-kit-8x10-damn-it-feels-good

It is the only item in my shop not patterned by me personally, but it's here because it's super awesome. Commissioned by a customer of mine, I decided to offer it as a shop item just in case everyone else in the world needs it in their homes as well -- but if you have any questions about the pattern, or would like the original designer's work, please see granniepanties' shop, which again you can find here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/granniepanties

Please note that you will be receiving this UNframed, as shown in the third photo.

Please also note that the images pictured here are slightly blurry and include some reflections, in keeping with granniepanties' request that any sale of the completed work not include pictures specific enough to allow for copying.

The other stitches pictured, in this case "Gob Bless This House," are mine alone and are also available in the shop, and the patterns for those are available as a set. See "The Links" below for each of those.

---The Deets---

This 8x10 sampler stitch features the text "Damn it feels good to be a gangster" and includes an image of every cute thing you've ever seen that's not a kitten.

*FRAME: NO framing is available for this from me.

When you are selecting your own framing, consider getting a frame with an 11x14 opening (as pictured), since the pattern goes straight to the edge of an 8x10. If you would like this to fit nicely in an 8x10 frame, please let me know if you would like me to stitch it on a slightly smaller gauge cloth, which will help it fit pleasantly into that size frame without "hitting" any edges.

If you would like me to include an 8x10 self-stick mounting board for you to use in framing it yourself, let me know! Otherwise, I will assume you're likely to have it custom framed (and thus you'll not need your own mounting board).

*SHIP: This stitch will be wrapped carefully and sent on its way via USPS first class with delivery confirmation and insurance or international first class within about a month of your order, unless specified otherwise by convo or in my shop policies, shop banner or announcements (below the shop banner) -- and usually sooner.

Let me know if you're on a deadline, and I'll see what I can do! This is a very labor-intensive piece, which is why the production time is longer than the typical stitch in my shop, so unless I have one ready to mail, it will take at least a solid week of stitching to complete one. If you need a gift quicker than that, you may like to consider any of the other smaller items in my shop.

---The Legal Stuff---

The "Damn it feels good to be a gangster" pattern is used with permission according to granniepanties' policy seen in this listing: http://www.etsy.com/listing/93277060/pattern-only-damn-it-feels-good-to-be-a

The Bless This House and Bless You designs are copyright Alicia Watkins 2012, so please don't copy 'em -- or don't blame me if a one-armed man shows up to teach you why you should never copy another stitcher's patterns without permission.

If you're interested in a pattern, it's ready for your to buy, for just a few bucks! No excuses. ; )

*This listing and the pictured cross stitch are in some ways inspired by TV, but not in any way affiliated with any show -- nor should it be construed as such.

Frequently asked questions about aliciawatkins

I love to do custom work during the non-holiday months! I try to work on one custom project at a time so that I can give each project my full customizing attention; as a result, a significant lead time on deadlines for receiving your custom order is very much appreciated.

If possible, try to contact me at least a month in advance of a deadline for receiving a 5x7 custom cross stitch. (That said, if you're in a pinch and you know I'm the stitcher for the job, convo me anyway! If I happen to be in between custom orders, I can often get things out in a much shorter time, and like I said, I love working with customers on personalized stitchery.)
Most of my small finished cross stitches have an option for gift wrapping.

If you don't see a drop-down list as you purchase a small hooped or framed cross stitch (smaller than 4x6), but you would like your item to be wrapped in plain paper (with a small notecard for your message included), request gift wrap as you check out in the "notes to seller"!

If you're having your gift sent directly to the recipient, please double-check the address it's going to before you finish checking out, and let me know what you'd like me to write in the notecard to your recipient! :)
Mini kits are available for wholesale ordering at any time; contact me for details on which kits I have available with shelf-ready labeling, and for pricing details!

I also offer a selection of finished cross stitch available for wholesale or certain consignment situations, for stores that feel my work would be a good fit. Contact me if you're interested in carrying my work in your store, and we'll talk about what I've done in the past and what you're looking for! :)
I believe in using secondhand frames because it's eco-friendly, supports my local thrift shops, and allows me to frame your items, if you'd like that, at very low cost.

Because they are unique and unapproved by you, I don't pass on the cost of the secondhand frames to you, except for the cost of shipping (usually about a $2 difference).

When you order an item from me, rest assured that you are only paying for the stitchwork, and you may treat the frame as a "suggestion" -- if you don't like it, give the frame away! Your 4x6 or larger cross stitch will come with a mounting board that will allow you to easily pop it out of the "suggested" frame I've sent it in and into any same-sized frame of your choice.
I can't send you a photo of your options for 4x6 or larger frames; I have too many frames and a too quickly rotating stock for that. However, you're welcome to let me know your preferences in color and material (i.e. wood, metal, plastic) and I'll do what I can to accommodate your wishes.

If you receive your stitchwork and you HATE the frame I chose from my cache of secondhand frames, never fear! The stitching for a 4x6 or larger frame will be mounted on a board that you can simply pop out of the secondhand frame you received, and pop INto a frame you choose from a local store, another Etsy seller, or anywhere you find perfect frames.

Because the secondhand frames I send are free, I cannot offer replacements or frame-related refunds.
Google and Youtube are your BFFs in learning to cross stitch, but if you've purchased a kit or pattern from my shop, I can also offer you a Basic Cross Stitch instruction booklet via email. Just let me know you'd like one, and I'll send it along! :)
