Description

This may not have been the most difficult whirl that I've made, but it sure was the most time consuming and tedious! I logged in over 36 hours and the whirl has well over 100 pieces of glass, many as tiny as a childs fingernail. This is a magnificent piece, pictures do not do it justice. There is so much fine detail. It's really a beautiful one of a kind piece.
The original pattern for this whirl called for all horses. But, me being me, I had to switch it up a bit. I replaced two of the horses with a lion and a cute little pig with a curly tail.
Out of mirrors, I fashioned a holder that sits in the center of the bottom for the music button. This small mirrored holder compliments the mirrors on the outside of the whirl. This piece really sparkles in the sunlight with the mirrors and the special ordered "confetti" glass that I used for the canopy. In the last photo I took a picture looking down on the top of the whirl, here you can see just how beautiful the hand thrown glass really is.

In the first picture you get a better idea of the color of the wine purple that was used. The glass making up the rest of the whirl rings is clear iridized, which changes color slightly as it spins.

The horse is white with a grey mane and tail. His saddle and bridle are yellow, royal purple, wine purple and blue. He has a chain attached to the bridle.

The lion is made of a caramel colored glass with his mane being a rough rolled brown glass. His head is thrown back slightly as he lets out a roar. He is quite royal looking with his purple, green and blue saddle vestments. I soldered a heart shaped piece of filigree over the blue.

The little pig couldn't be more adorable! He is made in a pink skin textured glass that is hard to see here, but looks quite appropriate for him. His saddle and harness are dark blue, light blue, turquoise, and yellow. I added a small filigree flower over the turquoise on his saddle. His little tail is fashioned into a curlicue.

This piece has a heavy duty barrel spinner in the top. If placed in front of an open window it will spin in the breeze. Or with the bottom being flat it can be displayed on a tabletop.
Three of the outer rings are a wine colored purple. The remaining three are iridized clear.

The original pattern called for the animals to be held in place by glass pieces that represent poles.
I thought the heavy twisted brass rod that I used for the poles was a much better choice.

You could switch out the music button, which plays "Its a small world" with a tea lite if you would prefer.

This would be a must have piece for that collector of carousels!

The piece measures 9 by 9.

I would include a length of chain for hanging.

♥ Any overcharges for shipping would be refunded to you. I always calculate shipping cost from the furthest point from my Michigan shop. I do double box the whirls and use tiny air bags on the inside of the piece with lots of bubble wrap.

I gift wrap for free and can ship direct. Send me a note as to what you would like to say in a card.

Returns and exchange details
If you find your piece has been broken during shipping, you must notify me within 3 business days. For items purchased and gift wrapped by me as Christmas gifts, I would give you the three days after Christmas to report any damage.
I would need to see a picture of the damage so I can determine if its repairable. I may also need this photo for insurance purposes. I will handle all the necessary paperwork in filing any claim.
If I can repair it, you must pay the shipping cost both ways.
If you want a refund instead of a replacement or repair, you must return the broken piece via the same method it was shipped. Once it is received you will be issued a refund.

I will accept returns if the piece was quite not what you were expecting. I aim to please...but, the item MUST be in the same condition as when it was sent to you. Or no refund will be given.
Shipping will be at your expense, priority mail or FedEx if I shipped it to you with FedEx. It must be insured, It must be within 7 days of reciept for a full refund of the purchase price, less shipping.

Shipping policies

Shipping can be calculated by clicking on the "shipping and policies" tab under each listing. You put in your zip code and the quote will come up. The listings are pretty much all calculated at Priority Rate which means it is flown. Because of the fragile nature of my pieces, its the only safe way to ship. Most of the pieces are double boxed, which puts them in the higher cost category for shipping. If you want a price quote for Parcel Select Ground, contact me for a quote.
You will find a pull down tab at checkout to upgrade to Express shipping.

If I felt a certain piece could be safely shipped at Parcel Select, the parcel select price is quoted. You would be able to upgrade to Priority Rate at checkout.

With Priority rate shipping all items are insured up to $100. I tacked on extra insurance, adding it to the shipping cost of any items over $100. So all items are covered at the full cost.

If I find I miscalculated in any way, I would refund any difference over $2
If you are in close proximity to Michigan and I can fit your purchase into a regional rate box I will do so and refund the difference.

International shipping: In some cases tracking and insurance cannot be applied. In these cases I cannot be held responsible for loss or damage. Some international destinations also incur extra taxes, tariff, VAT and customs charges. All such charges will be the responsibility of the buyer. Contact me before purchase so we can discuss the details.

For the eco conscience, I now offer air popped popcorn in place of packing peanuts to recycle to our feathered friends. I will still use bubble wrap and newsprint however.
Let me know your preference upon ordering.

On my items I have listed everything as having to be shipped seperatly. The reason being many of my items are 3-D. I CAN combine flat pieces, or smaller 3-D pieces, and I will do so if I can. If you do purchase multiple items the easiest way to get around shipping is for you to pay what the shipping states. I will pack it as efficiently/safely as I can. I will then refund the difference to your method of payment.

Additional policies

If you are purchasing a gift, I can ship it directly to the person recieving it. Let me know in the "notes to seller". I will gift wrap at no charge, please specify occasion, birthday, Mothers day, etc, and what you would like to say, I will print out the message in an attractive font and adhere it to a generic card.

The cost of stained glass has increased significantly over the last five years, I have tried to keep my prices low and think they are reasonable. However, depending on the quanity wanted, I would consider a discount for wholesalers.

If you see something in my shop that you would like in a different color, let me know in the "notes to seller".

Other places you can find me:

Repeat customers will receive a coupon code for 15% off on all future purchases, I may end that special in the future. I would contact all my customers well in advance to give them time to redeem the coupon.
Please note that I cannot apply the 15% off on special orders or wholesale orders.
