This lovely ring dates to the early 1900's. The workmanship is exquisite, with structural filigree work in the undercarriage that allows light to come through this stunning Ceylon sapphire. The ring itself is of s 10k Green Gold, gold that has been alloyed with sterling silver to give it a distinctive, pale green tint. The head of the ring is flashed with white gold, setting of the stone perfectly!

The stone is from Sri Lanka, also called Old Ceylon. Sri Lanka is the source of the finest sapphire in the world, and this stone is no exception. The color is rich and deep, without being overly dark. There is plenty of fire in the center, and the cutting is expertly done.
As with most of our precious gems, we purchased this stone on location during one of our frequent buying trips.

Stone: 8.8 x 6.5mm Fine Ceylon Sapphire, Fancy Cut, approx 2.5 carats

Frequently asked questions about MSJewelers

We offer sizing on most of our rings. Please send us a convo if you want to make sure, but almost everything is sizeable, unless otherwise noted. If the ring has to change more than 3 sizes, please contact us so we can make sure it's do-able.

Any rings over $1,000 we size for free. If the ring is under $1,000, please contact us and we're happy to give you a quote for the sizing fee.
We do offer engraving and monogramming for a fee, yes. Our engraving is all done by hand.
The listings on our site marked 'reserved' or 'reserved - second payment", for example, are items that are no longer available, as they are listings that have been set up for someone who is paying on them via our layaway plan. The notation of "second payment", for example, denotes a single payment for them towards the total cost of the piece, that they are paying off over several months. A piece just marked as "reserved" is on a temporary hold for someone, and may become available again. If you have any questions about an item, feel free to use the contact button, and we can let you know an item's status, or suggest similar things!
Yes! We typically set up a four month layaway plan that works with a 25% down payment as the first month's payment, followed by three additional payments, which you make over the following three months, to complete the balance!
Please allow us a 3-5 business day processing time on our orders (due to the fact that we have four retail locations that all of our online items are spread amongst, so there's some transit time on our end to get items to our main location before they ship out).
We try and take some time on the weekends "off"! Emails will be checked on occasionally, but sometimes we don't make it through all the emails over the weekend. Rest assured someone will be in touch with you about your inquiry or concern as soon as possible on Monday!
