Vintage promotional booklet from The Souix City Journal and Journal-Tribune newspapers of Souix City, Iowa, serving The Farm Weekly to all of "Siouxland."

Cover features a cartoon of a Native American, done in a rather racist style (complete with "Indian" puns). Inside back cover, graphics of "all Siouxland" and newspaper publications.

First page has signature of "your local Journal-Tribune Publications Salesman", Jay H. Sykes. Introduction from Marc Cox, the Farm Weekly Editor, with photo. Small photo of Farm Weekly regular columnist Miriam, who apparently covered cooking, recipes, etc. in "From The Kitchen Window."

Inside the 37 pages, there are recipes, household tips, and promotions of Farm Weekly as well as local groups, such as 4-H. Circa 1950s; undated.

Booklet measures approximately 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. Front cover has previous owner's name in pencil and a rough patch or paper lift as seen in the scan. Staple binding is secure. No rips or markings inside (other than salesman's autograph as noted and shown). Over all, modest signs of age. Lovely shape, really.

Please view scans and ask questions prior to purchase, thank you!
