Easy as making mud pies . . . ANYONE CAN DO THIS . . . but, just to make sure you LIKE to do this, I've made up a small kit for you to try your hand at. Can you guess what these spheres are made of? No, it's not cement. It's a light-weight form of cement made to replicate a mineral naturally found in nature. This mix is called Hypertufa - Hypertufa is an anthropic rock made from various aggregates bonded together using Portland cement. In other words, you'll be making mud pies that dry HARD (due to Portland cement) and are very LIGHT (due to perlite and moss).

There are no secret ingredients . . . in fact, when you buy the kit, you'll get several RECIPES for mixing your own ingredients (most can be had at any hardware store); easy-to-follow INSTRUCTIONS for mixing and making the sphere; and, enough INGREDIENTS to make several small spheres to use inside or out.

You will need to have on hand a face mask; tape; rubber gloves and some Pam to be used as mold release . . . oh, and some old plastic sheeting to keep your "mess" contained.
