This is a hand made leather Martingale collar. This collar is unique in that it is not simply an "over-the-head" martingale chain collar. Please read the below before ordering as lot of customization info is presented.

Ideal for head-shy dogs, it features a quick release snap buckle on the side, while still retaining the convenience of a martingale collar.

Collar widths and recommended neck sizes are as follows:

Small - 5/8" wide - 10" to 15" neck
Medium - 3/4" wide - 13" to 18" neck
Large - 1" wide - 15" to 21" neck
XLarge - 1-1/2" - 16" and over neck

We can make any width for necks longer than recommended, but not smaller on the Small and Medium.

NOTE: This is NOT an adjustable collar. You MUST measure your dog's neck and list in the Personalization box at order time. SEE BELOW.

You MUST measure (or have measured) your dog's neck as listed below. If you have not, we can NOT guarantee the proper fit. Please don't measure an existing collar. We will not start your order until we have this measurement.

You want to use a cloth tape measure or a heavy string or ribbon, put it around the neck up high, just under the jaw.

Pull VERY snug. Give me that measurement. If you've used a string, measure it with a ruler.

The idea is that when that chain is pulled tight and the collar rides up high on the neck, the ends of the rings don't touch.

Now, do NOT adjust your measurement for that. I automatically shorten the collar about 1/2" to 1" when I assemble it.

See photos in listing.

The leather martingale collar with side release is so nice. My corgi Tesla has a phobia with the plastic snap release. The release on the martingale is so much more quieter and Tesla is so comfortable with this collar. She has three the brown , purple and tan they are all great colors and in perfect shape I just like ordering different colors for her. Thank you Legacy Leathercraft!

Fantastic quality; beautifully created! Take care in measuring and follow the instructions regarding measuring. I ordered one collar and now have ordered another one with a leash to match. Absolutely worth every penny!

Appears to be good quality. Time will tell. Update: I followed the directions for measuring, but the collar is too loose when no leash is attached. My other dog constantly pulls it off her to play with it now! The leather and metal has held up well. It is just covered in dirt!

The quality is amazing! Unfortunately, it ended up being too big. I thought I had the right measurement, but it's hard to get my malinois to hold still. Would definitely still recommend though.
