Hummingbirds in the garden at their best - flying and checking out the spring flowers. This is raw edge applique in batik fabrics on an ombre background fabric. It measures 18 1/2 inches wide by 40 1/2 inches long. Again its been inspired by some vintage hummingbird prints by Bevalet 1885. There is a close up view of the very top of the quilted tapestry.

The feeling of early morning in the light green colors make this feel light and happy.

In the middle of the tapestry, the ombre fabric gives the illusion of a horizon where the sun might be just coming up over the landscape.

This is the lower portion of the tapestry. This humming bird looks up at the others considering joining in at the top of the flowers.

My quilted tapestry's are all done on domestic machine in a smoke free studio.
