I have used glossy bright red vintage lucite rounds in three sizes to mimic a traditional tapered necklace, the 50's style with chunky beads. I have given it a contemporary twist by wirewrapping with oxidized sterling wire for contrast instead of neatly stringing it. The largest beads are 17 mm. The last picture shows the beads in my hand to give an indication of scale. SSterling silver clasp.

I had a very different name planned for this necklace, but when I took the photos all I could think of was clowns noses, so I just had to find a new name!

Necklace measures appr.49 cm.

Vintage lucite was a high quality plastic used in costume jewelry from the 1940s. Although more substantial than other plastic beads, it is surprisingly light weight and has a luscious shine and feel to it that makes it very different from modern plastic. Lucite beads are often seamless, as they are cut from a tube of lucite rather than press molded.

If you are in Europe, and your country is not listed in the shipping rates list below, you will be charged the rate for "everywhere else", but I will refund the surplus shipping. Or you can convo me and I will add you country to the list immediately. The rate is the same for every country in Europe, I just didn't want to add all 40+ countries, so I made a random selection.
