Description

Remember the days of hot oatmeal for breakfast? Remember the free gift in the box? Well, here they are! More than just a collectible, antique Depression glass offers a look at the past through its rich and interesting history and enduring popularity. Manufactured in the United States from the 1920s until after World War II, Depression glass was often offered as a premium, or as a free gift, for buying another item. Housewives found these glass items in products such as detergent or oatmeal boxes; gas stations often gave a cup or plate for a fill-up; and movie theaters included a piece with movie tickets.

This valance is lovely in any window. The texture of the glass is magnificent, and in the sunlight the bevels glisten along with the prism cuts of the coasters.

Measuring approximately 24 x 9 there are rings for hanging either horizontally or vertically.

Custom orders are welcomed! Or see additional stained glass panels featuring depression glass and vintage dinnerware at HeritageDishes.etsy.com and more traditional stained glass panels at ArtfulFolk.etsy.com with coordinating wind chimes and unique gift ideas at HandmadeHomeAndGift.etsy.com

Each piece is carefully packed with lots of packing materials, peanuts, and/or bubble wrap, but this is (after all) glass. Should a piece arrive damaged or broken it will be repaired, replaced, or refunded upon return. Purchaser is required to assist with insurance claims as necessary, and shipping charges are the responsibility of the buyer.
