My hat came damaged in the mail.

We make sure to protect each hat for shipping; however, sometimes handling by mail services causes damage to the hat. We ship hats in boxes rather than a bag, so they are super protected. If your hat comes damaged, please message us and we can work something out!

Can I order multiple hats?

Yes of course! Please message us on etsy or on instagram @hatsbymat for large orders.

Can I get my hat faster than the estimated delivery date?

Yes! Please add the rush production fee to your order to get a 48-72 hour processing time. This is not the shipping time, if you need 2-4 day shipping, please select the priority shipping option.

Custom and personalized orders

We offer custom/personalized hats but these must be purchased through my listing titled "Cowboy Party Hat Custom". If you want something additional added on to a hat that we have on our page, this still needs to be done through the custom hat listing. You may also use the "add-ons" listing to add minor things to your hat(s).

Why is my order cancelled?

The most common reason is related to custom hats. If you are not specific enough with what you want when you place an order, we will message you with questions about your hat just to make sure you get exactly what you are looking for. We do need a response within 48 hours to guarantee the processing time to avoid delays. If we do not get a response in 48 hours, the order will have to be cancelled because we will not have enough time to complete it on time. A same day response is required for rush production hats. **You are agreeing to these terms when you purchase a hat** (We're not trying to be mean by cancelling the order, but we just don't have enough time when we get a response the night before an order is supposed to be sent out!)

Is the glitter sealed on hats?

Yes! We go over every hat once with a sealant. This will prevent the majority of glitter from falling off, but there will be a very small amount that may come off especially if you live farther away from where we are. If you would like us to go over your hat more than once, please let is know! Just be aware that sealing the glitter more than once will dull the sparkle.

Hats with lights operate with a small button on the inside of the hat. There are three settings: slow flashing, fast flashing, and constant light We test each hat to make sure that the lights actually work before we send it to you. If you are having difficulty getting the lights to work, here are some ways to fix the problem in no particular order: 1). the pin must be pulled out in order for the lights to come on 2). flick the panel that the button is on 3). hold the button for 10 seconds 4). re-insert the pin all the way, pull the pin back out, and press the button

No. Due to the custom nature of the hats, sales are final. Additionally, sales are final due to sanitary reasons. In an instance where we accept a return, the hat must arrive back in the same condition as it was sent out. Please use the bubble wrap provided to ensure that the hat is not damaged on the way back. A damaged return is not eligible for a 100% refund. Shipping costs are not refundable because we no longer have that money to refund you; USPS has it. A return must be mailed back within 7 days of when the return shipping label is sent to the buyer.

Fireball may not be the answer, but it's worth a shot! You can get this hat in any glitter color from the choices above, and the Fireball logo will come with rhinestones around it. The glitter is sealed onto the hat so you will not have to worry about it falling off at any event you may be at!

For the trim, you have a choice between "no trim", "feather boa", "LED lights (no boa)", or "LED lights with a boa".

If you are looking for something custom, I have a separate custom hat listing for that available.

Sizing:
The hat is an adult size hat that is 5 inches tall and 25 inches in circumference. It is designed to be a "one size fits all" hat meaning that if your head is on the smaller side, the hat may be larger on you. Slightly smaller hats are available, so please message me before placing an order if you would like a smaller sized hat.

All hats come with a string that may help you secure the hat more tightly to your head by tying the string under your chin. If you would like the string to be left off, please let me know as it can be a hassle for you to have to remove :)
