Description

This is simply a stunning, unusual art deco style shiny hammered chrome and yellow with black marbled bakelite handled serving tray set. It was made during the late 40's to early 50's by a Canadian company named Glo-Hill. The Glo-Hill company sold cutlery sets, barware and serving ware through high end department stores. The company was in business from the late 40's to the early 70's. This tray has a butterscotch yellow marbled with black bakelite handles ( I've seen this color combo referenced to as Tiger ) and a shiny hammered etched chrome finish. The tray with stand measures about 38 1/2 cm long by about 15 1/2 cm wide and about 3 cm high. There is still the original sticker on the bottom (I imagine that this tray was not used very often, if at all). The tray is in excellent condition besides only minor flaws. There are also some very minor scratches to the trays surface which are hardly even noticable. There is a tiny bit of discoloration on the joining parts of the stand, which might be removable with the proper cleaner. These flaws do not take away from the beauty and function of this piece. Thanks for looking and have a great day! :)

Shipping policies

UPDATE: Rotating strikes are under way in Canada
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers started rotating strikes after 12:01 am (local time) on October 22nd. Strikes are expected to last 24 hours in specific areas of Canada. During strike hours, mail and parcels will not be delivered or picked up in those areas. Please be aware that your parcel could be delayed.

Papyrus Heart uses Canada Post to ship. Canada Post's shipping rates are expensive and that is why I do not charge a handling fee. If for some reason I have over estimated shipping by over a dollar, I will issue a refund.

Your item will be carefully packaged using recycled material (if available), to keep costs down for you and help out our environment. If you need to get your item quicker, please message me for a quote before buying as shipping will cost more. According to Canada Post, delivery time within Canada can take up to 9 business days. Delivery to the United States can take up to 10 business days. International deliveries can take up 14 business days. These postal delivery times can be delayed during the Christmas holiday season.

** PLEASE NOTE: Shipping is estimated and usually is correct, but can be considerably more to remote locations eg: Yukon, North West Territories, Nunavut, Alaska, Hawaii. Canada Post also charges me HST, PST and QST. If you are from a province that charges such taxes, please be aware that you will need to pay extra for this expense. Please contact me for a accurate shipping price before purchasing from these locations, thank you.

** INTERNATIONAL BUYERS please be aware that your package can be held up at your countries customs and may take longer for delivery. Buyer is responsible for any custom fees, taxes or any dues incurred for your country. Buyers please be patient, Canada Post can be slow. Once I have delivered the item to the post office, I have no control over how fast it will get to your location.

** LOCAL PICK UP welcome, please contact me prior to purchase to make arrangements, thank you.

** FOR SHIPPING DISCOUNT on multiple items, please contact seller before purchasing.
