These stunning handmade ceramic ramen bowls are a collectible piece of artwork that is also completely functional and perfect for ramen, cereal, soup, salad or ice cream.

It is certain to add interest to anywhere you decide to place it. Someone recently called the color of the glaze 'rainforest' which I think is a good description of the many shades of green colors in it. I've called it Lichen. While it's beautiful to look at, this vessel is also completely food safe and durable enough to place in the microwave and dishwasher.

I handmade this decorative art piece on my pottery wheel out of stoneware clay and created interest on the exterior with some 'chattering' texture while I trimmed this bowl before glazing.

The glaze on it is a truly stunning crystalline glaze that took me two years to perfect. I call it Lichen because it reminds me of the moss on the rocks in the forest near my home. It features shades of emerald green, bronze, gold and is stunning. One of the ingredients (lithium) that makes these beautiful crystals comes from an above ground Lithia Springs in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. It is very rare to find an above ground Lithia Springs in the world, so is a very special glaze.

These bowls measure between 3" and 3.5" high x 6" across and will hold around 24 ounces of your favorite food.

This listing is for ONE of these bowls, but I made several in this glaze, so feel free to use the drop down menu to choose more than one!

If you'd like a gift card enclosed with this item, leave me the wording in the notes to seller and I'll be sure to include it for you.

If I feel I can make something custom for you in a style, design and glaze that I have tested and perfected, I'm happy to consider custom and personalized orders. Please know that there is generally an added charge for this and it may take six weeks or more to complete.
Because all of my pottery is made one at a time, there will be variations in size, even when you purchase a set of two or more pieces. Generally these are maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch in difference and a couple ounces in volume at times.
I use a very durable stoneware clay for my pottery, making it able to withstand continued, everyday use. Unless stated otherwise in the description, you can use my pottery in your oven, microwave and dishwasher.
It is very difficult to gift wrap your pottery since I need to make sure it has lots of bubblewrap and peanuts surrounding it so it arrives intact. However, I am very happy to tie a ribbon around the packing material and to include a hand written card with a message from you inside the box. Just leave me the wording in your Note to Seller at check out.
I do sell my work wholesale to gift shops and galleries. Please contact me for minimum order and pricing information. My phone is: 970-846-9349 and my email is deb@blueskypottery.com

I also have a watercolor shop here on etsy and would love to be represented by a gallery for that work. You can see it at: BlueSkyFineArt.etsy.com
