This beautifully made fitted dolman sleeve jacket is a perfect example of early 'upcycling' or making do with the materials at hand. During the 1930s-1940s depression crafty people would re-use Victorian, Edwardian and 20s garments making them into stylish up-to-date items to wear. This beautiful 1880s paisley shawl is full of color and design, and the person who made it into a jacket was a master at the sewing craft, as can be seen by the gorgeous sculpted collar which additionally has clusters of black beads. Fully lined in black, this jacket has no holes or other damage to it and would look fabulous with everything from jeans to evening wear! Measures 38/28/38 with a length of 20 inches.
