"Jazz" table lamps by F A Porsche for Italiana Luce 1989

PAF Jazz FA Porsche Design Lamp On the auction block is one of the most unique designs of the last quarter of the 20th Century. Designed for PAF Milano by F.A. Porsche, this lamp folds into a compact unit for storage. The halogen lamp immediately turns off when lowered. Bright halogen light suitable for your desktop or reading. Those unsightly cords fold up into the lamp for a truly minimalist look. Some signs of wear, but overall in good gently used condition. Measures 24 inches when fully extended.

Curiosity
This lamp is inserted into the film Star Trek "The Undiscovered Country".
At the beginning of the film, after the incident of Praxis, the largest in the fleet are put around a table to decide the fate of the Klingon. If you notice that long sequence, you'll notice that in front of every admiral is this lamp modern design. The same lamp has also been noted in other episodes of the regular series.
