Clear glass whale sculpture

Humpback whales come to Maui every year during our winter. They come to mate, birth, and play.

This listing is for a custom made sculpture with or a humpback whale either in either clear or frosted in your choice of swimming or breaching. Sean hand sculpts each piece in the flame using no molds, making each piece one of a kind. Because it is handmade each unique piece will vary in shape, color, and size. You decide how you'd like the finish and the position of the whale.

The whales are made with the purity of crystal clear glass. The first photo shows the difference between clear glass and frosted. The frosted whale is sandblasted giving it a nice soft finish. The clear glass remains shiny allowing you to see the optics that the glass provides. The last photo shows the different positions of swimming up, breaching, or swimming down.

The finished product is based on sand coral collected on the beaches of Maui (each also one of a kind). The sand coral is painted to replicate the look of black Hawaiian lava. Sean uses his skills and creativity to base the piece in a way that flows together with the glass and the size and shape of the base.

Keep in mind... All bases will vary as they are organically made by nature, no base is ever the same. All glass pieces will vary as mentioned above. No two pieces will be the same. What you see in the above pictures is not exactly how your custom piece will be.

Please allow 4-6 weeks for completion (depending on the size of the piece). Once the piece is complete we will send you digital photos with dimensions to approve. Once approved, we will ship. All glass is guaranteed in travel. If it is damaged in shipping we will repair or replace the damaged piece for free.
