Item details

Handmade

Material

Polymer clay

To Scale, Anatomically Correct, 6 week old, life-like, fetal sculpture.

Please note that each piece is handmade and will vary slightly from the listing photo. These photos show you the range of my work. I encourage you to look at all of the photos along with my other listings so that you have an idea of my skill set. I have been hand sculpting miniature newborns and fetuses for over 10 years now and have made over 1,000 individual sculptures. I take pride and care in my work and pay great attention to detail.

This sculpture has been created to be an honor/Memorial sculpture for those who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy during the first trimester and are searching for a tangible keepsake to honor their precious Angel. Each sculpture is handmade out of polymer blend clay, without the use of molds, making the sculpture that you order unique and a true one of a kind, just like your baby.

Polymer clay cures hard so these sculptures are firm and delicate much like a porcelain doll.

This piece is accurate and anatomically proportionate to that of a fetus at this gestation. I use fetal development guidelines through the Mayo Clinic (http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/pregnancy-week-by-week/in-depth/prenatal-care/art-20045302), but as you have learned each fetus develops at their own rate and if you have specific measurements that you would like me to work from please convo me along with your order.

This is a sculpture that I tend to keep in stock so unless you have specific requests that would require your sculpture to be made to order, your parcel should ship within 3-5 days of payment.

I do not accept returns or cancellations, but I do stand by my work so if it is ever broken I will fix it for free.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or want to chat about creating a custom piece together.

Peace,
Jenn

Yes I can. You can email me pictures along with birth measurements and I will do my very best to capture your baby's likeness in the artwork.
No you can't. Not without written consent from me. All of my work is handmade upon order and original works of art. I have only had 4 sculptures ever reproduced.
The sculpting time can vary due to the complexity of the piece. I work to have your order completed within a 10-14 day time span. Sometimes I can take longer but I do try to communicate this when it occurs.
They are made out of a blend of polymer clays so when they are cured they are hard to the touch. Think porcelain doll.
I ship worldwide. I'm located in the United States and I do ask that the buyer is responsible for shipping charges. If you go into the listing that you are interested in shipping costs should automatically be calculated based on your location. I am not responsible for parcels once they leave my home. All parcels have tracking numbers so you can follow them as they travel to you.
Unfortunately I do not. I live in a very rural part of northern VT and I would have to travel upwards of an hour to find either currier. I ship USPS with tracking and have had success with it. I've been shipping sculptures for over a decade and only a small handful have ever broken during transit and I don't think any have ever been lost.
That's a really great question. The photos that you send me of your baby are kept safe and private. I am very respectful of the treasure that I have and I only use them to complete the sculpture and when I'm don't I delete the email thread so that they are no longer in my possession. I never share them or post them online.
