The jewellery items I sell are vintage. They are at least 20 years old and most have been used, and so will nearly always display some wear and tear. My intention is to describe all of my items accurately and to disclose any flaws that I see.
The jewellery supplies I sell are NOT vintage, unless stated.
I am always happy to answer any questions you may have about an item, or even provide more photos if required. However, at this stage I am unable to provide photos of items on a model.

Photos of items can sometimes be misleading in regards to size. I try to make sure photos are large enough for you to see the details of an item and its condition.
I do provide measurements for each item, so please read the description carefully. I also include a photograph of the item in my hand, so you can better visualise its size.

Jewellery items are first wrapped in tissue paper, then packaged in a brown kraft paper bag and tied with a bow. The packaging is suitable for gift giving.
Your item will be sent in a padded bubble envelope.
Larger items are wrapped and mailed in a box.
Where feasible, I will use recycled packaging materials (particularly boxes).

I use Australia Post for all shipping.
For most jewellery items, I offer two postage rates. The standard rate is by Australia Post's Large Letter service which is NOT tracked. You have the option at checkout to upgrade to Tracked or Express mail.
Please note, I cannot provide a refund for untracked items that are lost in the mail (fortunately, this doesn't happen very often).
Larger items are all sent by the Parcel Post service which is tracked.
Orders to the United States or New Zealand are sent b the tracked Parcel Post service.

I will post your order out within three business days.
Unfortunately, after that I have no control over how long it takes to get to you. If your item has tracking, you can check your item's progress by looking up your tracking number on the Australia Post website.
I do not consider a tracked order to be "lost" until after:
- 20 business days for items sent within Australia
- 40 business days for items sent internationally.
I will not provide a refund until after this period has elapsed.
I cannot provide a refund for a "lost" order that does not have tracking.
Luckily, the postal service is usually quite reliable and overall most items arrive at their destination in a timely manner.

I hope you love everything you buy from Chas and Viv Vintage, but I know that it can sometimes be tricky shopping online. Sometimes a piece isn't exactly what you were after. So I am happy to provide a refund on returns for any reason including change of mind.
If you would like to return your item, please:
- contact me within 3 days of receipt to notify me that you want to make a return
- send your item back within 14 days of receipt
- use a tracked service to return it (Australia Post's Parcel Post service), if the item was sent to you with tracking.
- make sure the returned item is packaged well enough to withstand processing through the mail system.

Refunds for a returned item are provided as soon as I receive the item.
The returned item must be in the same condition as you received it.
***Return shipping costs are not refunded.***

If your item is damaged when you receive it, please let me know as soon as possible and provide photos of the damaged item and its packaging.
A full refund will be given.

Prices in my shop are fixed. I do not negotiate discounted prices.
