Pea Pod Photo Prop Crochet Pattern for Newborn Photography -- INSTANT DOWNLOAD

PLEASE NOTE: This is a set of instructions, not the physical object. Once you have paid, you will receive an email with instructions for downloading your pattern pdf, along with 2 other files about yarn terminology and newborn photography and digital editing.

This crochet pattern includes two sizes, newborn and a longer version for twin newborns. Pictures of the twins size are not yet available, but I would LOVE to feature YOUR pictures of the CLASSIC "two peas in a pod" look, after you have crocheted and used it!!

You can make your pea pod very, very simply, like the second photo, and use your own hat and wrap, or add the stem-and-leaves part (included) and matching diaper cover (NOT included) that really make it whimsical. Instructions include how to seam up the bottom for more of a cocoon look, with contrasting edging, as seen in the far right photo, and also two ways to make tendrils for the top.

Literally THOUSANDS of savvy young photographers have learned to crochet, or enlisted a friend or relative to venture into this as a sort of "team mate" in the photography venture.

I am never far from my computer, so consider me your "Tech Support" when you take on this project. It is not a quick one, but fun to do, and what a cool prop it makes!

The diaper cover KNITTING pattern is sold separately here:
www.etsy.com/listing/61573602

I will be offering a crochet diaper cover pattern a little later on.

If you prefer to knit rather than crochet, I have the knit version of this pattern here:
www.etsy.com/listing/77823766
Again, you must buy the diaper cover (#107/108) separately.

Permission is granted to sell the items you make using this pattern. But the pattern is copyrighted, and distribution of it is not allowed, of course.

Please don't hesitate to message me with any questions you may have about this or any other of my props and patterns. (Sometimes I have the time to make one, if you are wondering who you could get to do that.)

Using 2 strands, results in a coarse, stiff nest-like finish and not desirable next to newborn skin. A flannel piece should go inside first. Otherwise this was simple enough and delivery was instant since it was downloaded after payment was made.

Your files will be available to download once payment is confirmed. Here's how.

Payments

Secure options
  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.
I accept credit cards, Etsy gift cards, and PayPal as instant payments.

If none of these work for you, I will also accept a US check or money order by mail.
I'm sorry, but no Canadian checks or money orders. The fees to process them cost more than their face value, usually.

Returns & exchanges

I do accept returns on knitted items if returned immediately, but I cannot refund the shipping fee you pay to me, nor the money you pay the post office to send it back to me.

Additional policies
