A very unusual and scarce find! This much beloved Wilendur cloth called "Berry",so named for its explosion of Cherries,Lingonberries,Goose-,Straw-,Blue-,Black-,and Raspberries, dates to the early 1950'.The design in 3 rows of 3's,so typical for Wilendur,on a grey and white grid is printed in blues, greens and reds.

Size: 46"x 48",in a very heavy cotton, the typical Wilendur sailcloth type.It is depicted in a Schiffer book by Yvonne Barineau and Erin Henderson, called "Colorful Tablecloths 1930-1960.Threads of the Past " with blue back-ground.( You find it on page 88/89,and the suggested price Range is: $95. - $135. )Because it was such a much beloved pattern,it is most often found faded from multiple washes,as per another example in Pamela Glasell's "Collector's Guide to Vintage TC." on page 116,in spite of the fading, the price is suggested at $ 75 to $ 95 there.

Here you have a mouthwatering, vibrantly colored example.I hand-washed, line-dried,and pressed the cloth, but there is a very, very faint fold line age marking, which I have tried to show in the last photo.Other then that,it is in excellent condition:no thins, rips, holes or frays. Two sides are selvage, and two sides are hemmed.I inspect items carefully, but I do miss something on occasion.

What a fabulous and rare addition to your Patio,Summer Garden Party ,Country Kitchen or cottage!
