What is an insert and how do they work?

A sensory bin insert is an activity "lid" that turns a sensory bin into an activity station. My inserts are cut to fit the Ikea Trofast and Amazon Beright small or large sensory bins. The Ikea bins are not included with purchase but I do offer them in their own shop listing if you need one. Alternatively, you can purchase any of the Ikea Trofast products and they will be compatible. Please see the listing descriptions for specifications on what bin size the insert is for small or large size. Size customizations for other brands are possible, please message to discuss your needs as we make all our inserts in our in house workshop (not outsourced).

Do you accept returns on all items?

Returns/refunds for purchases are a case by case basis. Some items are not eligible for return such as sensory tables, any items that have been opened, used or have the protective masking removed. Felt items are not eligible for return (hygiene concerns). Etsy return and shop return policies apply. Buyer responsible for all shipping costs, duties, taxes, etc. that may apply for returns. Returns are accepted only upon approval and there is a return process on eligible items. Lost return shipments are the responsibility of the customer. Refusal of a package at delivery voids your return. Unauthorized "forced" returns will be NOT be refunded. Do not return an item until you receive approval and instructions.

Where do you make your items?

I design and craft my own inserts using a laser or a CNC machine in one of our local workshops. Our 2 workshops are based in Enderby and Victoria, British Columbia Canada. All felt items are manufactured in Nepal by a fair trade certified production partner. I travel to Nepal to personally work with my felt crafters multiple times a year and have personally selected my felt producer after several site visits. I am proud that we have the highest of standards for working environment, safety and have won awards for our production facility. Wonder Years Play owns the intellectual property rights of all of our unique designs. Customizations, wholesale and special orders may be possible, please get in touch. How does flat rate shipping work?

Orders will ship with either UPS, FedEx or Canada Post and USPS. When you place an order for multiple items the shipping fees charged will be for the single item that is in the largest parcel class. Any other items that can fit in the package ship free with the largest item. If Etsy has overcharged shipping fees, I will do a partial rebate for any overages (I use a web shipper, not Etsy to ship). I always shop for best rates and services. Flat rates are discounted so that you get the best shipping rates possible with no hidden costs.

Are there extra import fees, duties or taxes for international orders?

*USA Shipments* All tariffs and brokerage fees are INCLUDED in your shipping charges, you will not incur extra charges at delivery. USPS is the only option for PO Box deliveries and additional charges may apply. *International Shipments outside North America* Etsy "may" collect VAT on your order. Additional tariffs, duties or import brokerage fees may still apply. These fees are due prior or at delivery and are collected by the shipper prior to delivery. These charges are separate from any shipping fees paid to Etsy. Refusal of your package or to pay these fees VOIDS any refund on your entire order. Purchase acknowledges and is acceptance of these fees. I am not responsible for any duties, taxes, tariffs or brokerage charges (Etsy policy).

Do you do classroom sets or wholesale of items for bulk pricing?

Yes, I have worked with many schools, clinics, science education centers and teachers to create classroom specific resources for activity centers and resource libraries. Please send me a message to discuss your needs and pricing on these items. I can offer resources in most languages.

Can your items have labels in my language (other than English)?

Yes, I can customize any of my items with your language. Please message to discuss your needs and verify correct spelling of the labels. No additional fees apply if it is a stock item in the shop that I am editing to meet your needs. I have access to First Voices, an online data base of indigenous languages in Canada.

Can you guarantee a delivery date?

Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee shipping delivery dates. I use a web shipper that offers a range of carriers for shipping including UPS, FedEx, Canada Post and USPS. If you require an item by a certain date, I recommend ordering as soon as possible. While expedited and express shipping upgrades are available, delivery dates are still not guaranteed by any of the carriers. Unforeseen circumstances such as weather and job action or staffing delays as well as customs clearance delays for random inspections are all factors that can affect delivery time. I am proud to have achieved "Star Seller" status on Etsy which means I have a history of dispatching orders on time at least 98% of the time. You can be assured I will do my best.

What do I do if my item arrives damaged?

Due to an unfortunate rise in AI scams and fraudulent damage claims there is now a strict damage claim process. This is for both buyer and seller protection from fraudulent claims. For damage claims: 1) Send me a message with your concern 2) 7 photographs will be required - instructions provided 3) ALL original packaging required, if you have disposed of package there is no warranty 4) A video of your item in hand must be emailed (due to scam AI photos) 5) A return may be required - case by case basis - instructions provided 6) Replacements are always issued before a refund, do not assume a refund In the rare event damages do occur during shipping I am here to support every step of the way.

Are your items non-toxic?

Yes, I am proud to only use premium, non-toxic materials for all my products. 3rd party items such as sensory tubes, metal cups are carefully screened for safety specifications. Felted items are 100% natural felted wool. No harmful chemical dyes and they are AZO free. All acrylics used for sensory inserts and trays are non-toxic premium cast acrylics. Many have "green" certifications for sustainability and the environment. All woods are non-toxic. I carefully review all MSDS sheets and specifications to ensure my woods are formaldehyde free and other harmful chemicals. I do not use MDF in any of my products. Most wood items are unsealed. Some wood items like hardwood puzzles, letters etc. have a food safe 100% natural beeswax finish.

The insert is designed and sized to fit the brand of rechargeable water dispenser pump offered in my shop. Your play sink insert has a built in stabilizer that helps keep the pump in place during play.

If you already own your own pump from another retailer, please send me a message me to ensure the stabilizer rings I attach to the insert base will fit your pump. If you make a purchase of this insert and purchase a pump separately from another retailer I cannot guarantee the pump will fit. Please be sure to check with me first before ordering.

This insert has a cutout for a soap/pump bottle, metal bowl or plastic cup to hold sensory play tools and accessories. The little bar at the front works great as an accessory holder and a little dish cloth or towel rack! The small size makes it easy to store.

This insert is made from laser cut acrylic. As this is a hand crafted item, variations in coloring may occur slightly from pictures depending on your screen settings. The acrylic insert is considered to be waterproof and can be simply dried with a microfiber cloth and reused over and over again. Micro scratching of acrylics will happen with play over time.

This pump is designed to pump water only. Be selective with any bin fillers or additives to the water you use. Please follow manufacturers instructions for proper use of the pump. Misuse of pumping substrates mixed in the water such as excessive use of soaps, dirt, etc. can damage or ruin the pump.

WonderYearsToyShop does warranty pumps with manufacturing defects e.g. won't charge from first use. We do not warranty pumps from misuse. Warranties will be considered on a case by case basis. Please message if you are having any issues immediately.
