Description

Frosted Ocean Blue..."Sea Glass" Spacer Bead Pair...Handmade Lampwork Beads SRA, Made To Order

These beads are made to order and will look very similar to the beads pictured...see the description below.
Please allow 2-3 days for me to custom make your beads.

These lampwork glass spacer beads are lovingly handmade by me, Gillian Soskin, in my home glass studio using transparent medium blue glass. You may choose either unfrosted (shown as a group in the second picture, or frosted (the first picture), in which I have tumbled the beads for 24 hours to give them a "beach glass" look. I do not use glass etch as I don't like the residue it leaves on the beads.

The donut-shaped glass beads measure 13 x 7mm. They are made either on 3/32'' mandrels with 2.4mm bead holes (for stringing), or on larger 4.0mm mandrels for thick cord or European charm bracelets.

All my glass beads go directly from the torch to kiln for controlled annealing. All beads are inspected for flaws and thoroughly cleaned for you. Any white spots are only from the camera and lights.

I am a self-representing glass artist (SRA # S107) which means that my beads are individually made, by me, and not mass produced. I am also a member of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers.

The last two pictures in this listing show my glass studio and me working at the torch.
