The shelf life of slime varies from type to type. Some slimes can last for a long time without getting sticky even if they don’t get activated. Others get sticky faster and therefore need more care. Just see your slime as a little pet that wants to be taken care of now and then. Please click here to read about how to take care of your slime.

Besides the slime(s) you ordered your will always receive an extras bag that includes a a slime care sheet with all important instructions, a 1oz bottle of activator solution (Bye Bye Stickiness) and some candy.

Yes, all our slimes are made with borax. Please do not purchase if you are allergic to borax.

All our slimes are made with school grade craft supplies as well as cosmetic grade and body safe ingredients. However, if your body is very sensitive it still might show allergic reactions. Do not play with slime if you are allergic to borax, glue, shaving cream, baby oil, lotion, soap, food coloring, cosmetic grade pigments, and/or fragrances/essential oils. If you have a specific allergy and want to make sure that our slimes don’t include it please feel free to contact us.

Using a slime activator is necessary to create and maintain the chemical reaction that results in slime (we provide a 1oz bottle of slime activator with every order). Before playing with your slime, carefully touch it to test if it is sticky. If it is sticky add tiny amounts (drops) of slime activator at a time. BE CAREFUL: slime can get overactivated quickly.

- Store your slime at cool temperatures because it will keep it nice and non-sticky.
- Store your slime in an airtight container to prevent it from drying out.
- Always wash your hands before touching slime because it will keep it clean and germ-free.
- Add small amounts of activator every now and then to remove tackiness.

As the chemical reaction that results in slime weakens, it causes your slime to become sticky or even liquified (this is called “underactivated” slime). EASY FIX: Re-activate your slime by adding small amounts of activator and kneading it in until the desired slime texture is achieved. CAUTION: Only add small amounts of activator at a time to prevent your slime from getting overactivated and therefore hard and stiff.

Your slime can become hard and stiff by adding too much activator. Three EASY FIX options:

Knead in PVA glue (e.g. Elmer’s Glue)
Knead in some lotion or baby oil (not recommended for clear slime)
Knead in some warm water until your slime is nice and soft again

Depending on how hard your slime is you might be able to rescue it by adding warm water, lotion, or baby oil (see “What can I do if my slime turned stiff?” section). If all of that doesn’t work you will have to say goodbye to your slime :(

EASY FIX: Since slime is water-soluble it can easily be removed from fabric by washing it in your washing machine or carefully rubbing it out with a wet cloth.
