This is a very nice original World War 2 era US Armed Forces military issue 78 revolutions per minute, wind-up phonograph built-in to its original heavy-duty wood and steel military case.

This phonograph is in very nice vintage condition, showing normal signs of use and age.
The crank winds the crank motor very nicely, releasing the brake allows the turntable to rotate very nicely, and the parts stow just the way they were intended to. I was unable to test it as it does not have a needle. The new owner will have to acquire one if they plan on playing it. There is a spare spring that attaches to the arm.

The 8 x 16 x 17 inch heavy-duty steel and wood case is in great condition, and does not appear that it has ever been wet or repainted. There are a couple of small blemishes to the paint, and some scratches on the metal, but nothing that detracts from its appearance. In fact, it adds to the overall look in my opinion. The whole unit weighs 24 pounds just the way you see it in the pictures. Perfect for a collector.
