Do you love to weave? Here is a draft for an overshot scarf made from 10/2 Xie (rayon from bamboo) and self-striping sock yarn. You'll need a 4-harness loom, a 12-dent reed, 2 shuttles and the willingness to have a little fun!
Overshot is a classic weaving style brought to this country by the early European settlers. You'll find the classic blue and white overshot coverlets in museums, antique stores and old homes. Today, overshot is being re-imagined in all kinds of ways. It's still a beautiful, fun style to weave.

beautiful pattern. I'm playing around with the sett and different size yarns. Doing thicker yarn totally changes the design!
I made gorgeous gift scarves with this pattern. Thanks!
I already wove the draft by Debbi that was in Handwoven November December 2015. LOVED it. I was thrilled to find more drafts, Yes, I could create my own drafts, but I as a beginner, it is reassuring that an experienced weaver has created the edge designs for me, since I am uncertain of how to make the edges look good. These scarves are a wonderful way to create historic patterns with a modern look.
Amazing pattern! Very nice to work with
