Overshot is a classic weaving style brought to this country by the early European settlers. You'll find the classic blue and white overshot coverlets in museums, antique stores and old homes. Today, overshot is being re-imagined in all kinds of ways. It's still a beautiful, fun style to weave.

I already wove the draft by Debbi that was in Handwoven November December 2015. LOVED it. I was thrilled to find more drafts, Yes, I could create my own drafts, but I as a beginner, it is reassuring that an experienced weaver has created the edge designs for me, since I am uncertain of how to make the edges look good. These scarves are a wonderful way to create historic patterns with a modern look.

Pattern is easily to understand. I'm working on it now, but using 8/2 cotton and fingering weight yarn, with a sett of 20 epi. Really like how it is progressing.
