This large, stately platter was made by Wedgwood and Co. circa 1890.

The simple shape is classic. Accented only with a gentle fluting around the picture frame rim, this elegant beauty has it all.

It is in absolutely wonderful condition considering the age. There are no chips or cracks, just the gentle crazing of aging gracefully.

There are no scratches or utensil marks to speak of, and the surface is smooth and shiny.

There are a few small dots of rust around the edge that appear to be from plate hangers for the wall.

That's probably the reason it is in such beautiful condition.

This substantial platter is a generous 14" long and 10" wide.
