Waist beads are traditionally worn under clothing by African women and girls of all ages and sizes and have several different meanings ranging from rites of passage to healing and rejuvenation to seducing your husband. Our waist beads are made with cotton threading and medium-sized beads, measuring up to 48” (with about 10” of string on each side). If they are too small, you can tie two together to make a longer strand and then adjust them to fit your waist!

Tie on instructions:
1: Position the strand around your waist, where you would like them to lay.
2: Cross the ends at your desired fit while allowing the extra beads to drop to the ends.
3: Tie 2-3 knots at that spot.
4: Cut the ends to release the extra beads into a bowl.
5: Cut the strings off close to the knot.

**Remember to ensure that you do not tie your waistbeads too tightly around your waist as this will increase tension and the possibility of them breaking because the string does not stretch.**

Beautiful beads and great customer service. When I ordered she reached out to tell me that the waist bead I bought was unfortunately out of stock so I decided to choose another style and when it arrived there was a gorgeous bonus waist bead with it :) the unexpected extra mile was so appreciated <3
