Description

After The Waves

Virginia Woolf's garden shed or "writing lodge" as she called it, stands beneath a huge chestnut tree at the bottom of the garden of her Sussex retreat, Monk's House in Rodmell, near Lewes.
Here she wrote parts of all her major novels, from Mrs Dalloway to Between the Acts and it was here, in the summer of 1931, that Leonard came out to tell Virginia that The Waves, the manuscript of which he had just finished reading, was a masterpiece.

This is a professionally printed card of my original cut paper collage. It has been chosen for sale with others featuring my take on other Bloomsbury Group houses at the shop in the actual house which is now owned by the National Trust.

The card measures 17.5 x 12.5 cms folded. It is blank inside for your message.
The decorative reverse carries an explanatory text.

The perfect card for fans of Virginia Woolf, the Bloomsbury Group, English literature - and garden sheds!
As featured in The Guardian, Stylist, Homes & Antiques and Chinese lifestyle magazine Little Thing.

the card comes with a recycled brown kraft envelope in a cellophane sleeve.
