Description

Use this organic glycerin soap to wash and lightly lanolize your wool diaper covers. With the relaxing smell of lavender essential oil or organic patchouli essential oil, you will condition your hands as you lanolize your woolies. You can emulsify your lanolin with this soap when you need to do a deep lanolization.

Use this soap in lukewarm water to gentle wash your woolies. Hold the bar under running water and rub it, letting the water turn creamy in color. Add your woolies and gentle massage (do not wring or twist). Use the bar to spot clean pesky stains.

To use it as an emulsifier for heavy lanolizing (at least once a month): cut off a small chunk and add it to a cup of hot water along with a dime size amount (per cover) of lanolin. (further directions below)

The soap is heat sealed in biodegradable cello wrap, wrapped with the ingredients list and directions for light lanolizing.

INGREDIENTS:
Organic glycerin soap, lanolin (pharmaceutical grade), and lavender essential oil or organic patchouli essential oil. NO: SLS, alcohol, surfactants or fragrance oils.

DIRECTIONS:
-Wash your woolies in lukewarm water, rubbing very gently and avoiding major agitation

-Empty the dirty water

-Refill the basin or sink with lukewarm water, rubbing the bar under the water as you fill it. Make sure the water is cloudy/creamy.

-Add woolies again, gently massaging lanolin into the wool. No wringing or twisting

-let it soak for as little as 15 minute to as long as overnight, weighing it down with a butter knife or other object so that all of the wool is submerged.

-remove the wool from the water, gently squeezing (but not wringing or twisting)

-roll the wool in a towel and gently squeeze the excess water (or spin out excess water in your machine)

-block your woolies (gently flatten them to their original shape)

-lay flat to dry on a drying rack.

HEAVY LANOLIZING:
-wash woolies as per above, empty sink/basin

-fill basin with lukewarm water

-heat 1 cup water to almost boiling

-to hot water add dime-sized amount of solid lanolin and a small amount of this soap, mix until emulsified (mixture should be white like whole milk without oil gathering on the top)

-add hot water to sink/basin, mix

-add woolies, inside out.

-gently massage lanolin into woolies

-let soak for 15 minutes to overnight, weighted down so it is submerged

-remove the wool from the water, gently squeezing (but not wringing or twisting)

-roll the wool in a towel and gently squeeze the excess water (or spin out excess water in your machine)

-block your woolies (gently flatten them to their original shape)

-lay flat to dry on a drying rack.
