This is a great lime green pixie figurine. I am not sure what this figurine is for, it holds water so it could be used for a flower, or a candle, or just to put stuff in. There is a Kippie sticker on the back and the patent number on the back of the elf.

The figurine measures about 4 inches high and sits on a base that is 3 inches in diameter. There are not visible chips or cracks.

Kippies were manufactured in the 1950’s by Kipp Ceramics in Pasadena, California, who produced art ware in addition to figurines. Helen B Kipp secured a patent in 1950 for this distinctive and popular pixie design. While the body of the pixie is finished with a shiny glaze over lime green paint, its face is a matte finish with a large impish smile and exaggerated eyelashes and eyebrows. All Kippie pixies have feathers in their hats and flattened hands.
